Keyless Entry
Certain key fobs also allow you to start your car's engine. Certain key fobs have a separate remote engine start button (for instance Ford's keyfob has an arrow-shaped circular shape that runs clockwise) which you must press in order to start the car remotely. Others, such as Mazdas, require that you first lock the key and then press the start button.
There may be a dead or weak battery in your key fob, if you're unable to start the car. This is because the batteries inside the key fob aren't strong enough to send a strong signal to the car's system.
